According to Halifax, house prices rose to a 15 year high this month at £272,992, despite the recent end of the temporary SDLT reduction.
This strong growth may seem surprising since transactions fell to a 9 year low in October 2021.
Going forward, it is likely that the pace of growth will slow, in particular through the colder winter months which make it harder for many potential buyers logistically, with fewer daylight hours for viewings.
